Classic Shortbread

1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup icing sugar
1 cup flour
3/4 cup butter or margarine

Sift together dry ingredients. Using a wooden spoon, blend in butter until a soft dough forms. Shape into 1-inch balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes at 300 degrees.

*If dough is too soft, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
