1999 one song 'Nancy Spain' on the St. Bride's/Cuslett come home year compilation CD. [Joy was 13 years old] 2001 Lately [Joy was '15 and three quarters'] Recorded at The Millstream Studio, Toronto and Quest Studio Oshawa, Ontario.

Lately was produced and engineered by Paul Mills. Paul is best known for his work with the late Stan Rogers but has produced many folk/roots recordings over the years. He has several gold and platinum records to his credit. Other recent projects by Paul include the latest recordings by Ron Hynes, Terry Kelly and Aengus Finnan.

Executive producer Jerry Walsh

The CD "Lately" was released on the Gannet Music label, which was created especially for Joy.

Most of the photos for the CD by Joy's sister Mercia Conway. Layout and graphics for the CD by Sheila Boone at SGS in St. John's.

Some of Joy's accompanists include;

Drummer Al Cross: Al has appeared on most of Great Big Sea's recordings and has also worked with many famous artists including Natalie MacMaster. He isa member of the band Big Sugar.

Fiddler Don Reed: Don has worked extensively in Nashville and Los Angeles. His greatest claim to fame is 3 gold records in the States backing up country singer Dwight Yoakam. He has also worked with Buck Owens, Jackson Browne and loads more.

Jerry and Joy co-wrote "Cape Shore Lady" and "Girl From Red Island". "Lately" and "The War Bride's Waltz" were written by friend Aengus Finnan. "Ruins of British Harbour" was written by Wayne Rostad; "Grey Foggy Day" and "Newfoundland Waltz" by Eddie Coffey, who also hails from the Cape Shore; "Atlantic Blue" by Ron Hynes. I can honestly say that all of these songwriters love Joy's interpretation of their songs. [I certainly do!]

2002 "Cape Shore Lady" was included on the Homebrew 3 compilation CD.

Not bad for a young lady who turned 17 years old this past August 9th!
