Meet Joy Norman, Newfoundland's newest sensation in the music industry. At the tender young age of 17, Joy has much to offer. The diversity of her musical talent captures audiences both young and old alike.

"Lately" has proven to be an album representative of Joy's strong Newfoundland and East Coast roots, as well as presenting a young woman with eclectic taste and a remarkable ability to 'connect' with different musical subjects. The songs range from up - tempo, Celtic - flavoured dance tunes to sweet ballads - a mix of tempos and textures throughout the recording but not long straying far from Joy's musical and cultural roots.

Not only does this girl have a voice of gold but she also co-wrote 2 of the songs on her album "Lately" along with Jerry Walsh, president of Gannet Music. Jerry and Joy both co-wrote "Cape Shore Lady" and "Girl From Red Island".

Joy expresses her love of performing with a continuing involvement in drama and theatre arts. She is also an accomplished poet with several of her poems published both provincially and nationally.
